About the event
Author: Jamil Zaki (Stanford University psychologist)
This book explores the surprising science of human goodness. Contrary to the common belief that people are selfish or divided, Zaki shows through research in psychology and social science that trust, empathy, and kindness are not only natural but can also be cultivated. Hope for Cynics argues that hope is not just a feeling but a practice — one that helps us rebuild trust and imagine better futures together.
Every Friday, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the cozy Grow Links Lounge we gather to read and discuss Hope for Cynics.
At each session:
A selected chapter will be the focus of the week.
Participants share highlights, insights, and reflections.
Together, we explore how the book’s themes connect to our lives and community today.
🎯 The goal of this book club is not only to read but to create a safe space for dialogue, trust, and collective hope.
